Try saying ‘old mine brilliant cut elongated cushion lab diamond engagement ring’ three times fast. Tough to say, but easy to love😉 All eyes are on that centre stone with its big, mosaic-like facets and unmistakable sparkle.

For the setting, we worked with our client to create a super thin gold frame that looks like a bezel setting. The effect comes from slightly thicker brackets on each side, sitting just below the stone, adding the perfect touch of gold without taking away from its glam sparkle.

Classic will always be beautiful, but creating something unconventional is pure joy for us too! We love how the off-centre stone feels like it’s gently resting on top of this asymmetrical 18k yellow gold band. Absolutely love.

The styles I picked were pretty different from one another. There was a little bezel-set rose cut and a princess cut with a halo, so I honestly had no idea what to expect when I brought them to Ji.

He first asked me to explain why I chose each one, even if I couldn’t fully put it into words. Then, right away, he spotted a similarity: all of the styles sit low on the finger.

From there, Ji split my picks into two design paths, each with its own next steps.

And that’s the beauty of a consultation. Everyone’s journey looks different depending on their style and where they’re at. We follow a clear process, but it’s never formulaic. Every step is tailored to your unique design path.

Think engagement rings only come one way? We love proving otherwise. This elongated cushion lab diamond keeps it classic, but with a twist. The prongs are set north/south/east/west, showing off those rounded cushion corners. Instead of pulling all the focus to the center, it highlights the whole shape.

The spot we love for taking final engagement ring and stone close-ups is never short on background action. On any given day, you might catch a dog sprinting by, a random conversation about absolutely anything, in this case, it’s a full-blown sing-along from our production manager to Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten.”

It was so passionate it almost (almost!) stole the spotlight from this stunning elongated cushion lab diamond engagement ring.” 😋

Nature-inspired engagement rings hold such a special place in our hearts. The marquise shape is a beautiful way to bring in that organic, leaf-like feel paired with the strength and sparkle of a lab diamond.

This design is full of natural elements: a leaf motif with the marquise, petal prongs, green emerald marquises, and branch-like intertwining bands. Yet, there’s still symmetry! The design feels balanced with equal visual weight on each side of the centre stone.

And here’s a hidden detail we love… take a peek underneath the stone. That little “Q” is what we call a stress stamp. As she wears the ring, it will leave the faintest impression on her skin, like a secret mark just for her.
