G-J are in the near-colorless range. Which means that traces of color can be detected with the least amount at G and increasing traces along the scale from H, I and J.
An I-J colored diamond with all other characteristics equal can retail for half the price of a D colored diamond. Within the G-J range, price tends to increase 10-20% between each diamond grade.
