Lorena and Mark met in an interesting way. Despite the fact that it was not the result of the initial plan, you may say that the result was all part of the original plan. Lorena living in Ecuador at the time was looking to connect with her English teacher. She decided to connect through Facebook and even though there was more than one person with that name, she sent out a friend request to all the names that did come up.
The Mark that did accept Lorena’s friendship request, did not turn out to be her English teacher, but he did turn out to be her future husband!
The two began chatting and dating and eventually Lorena would move to Toronto to be with Mark. Mark knew from the moment he met Lorena that she was very special. He wanted to catch Lorena completely off guard with the proposal, so he suggested that they just go and look at rings at Engage. Little did Lorena know that Mark had already met with Ji and custom designed the ring to her liking, and the ‘casual’ visit to Engage Diamond Studio was actually so that Mark could propose to Lorena. There on bended knee, as Lorena was just browsing through the engagement rings at the store, Mark presented Lorena with her engagement ring and asked her to marry him!
