Almost 3 years ago, Jason and Rebecca were living unaware of one another in the same condominium complex.
In a chance meeting one late summer night, a common friend introduced them for the first time. That unexpected meeting led them to stay up until dawn simply talking and laughing.
They couldn’t remember ever feeling so at ease and comfortable with someone they had just met. Looking back, they both knew that their lives had changed and they had found something special.
At the time, Rebecca’s 2 yr old daughter Dahlia was her one and only love. She and Jason quickly became best friends and it didn’t take long for him to become a father figure. The transition was surprisingly smooth and exceedingly natural. Within a year, they had moved in together and were discussing having another child to complete the family. Wyatt is now 1 year old and life couldn’t be better.
When Jason proposed on their 2nd anniversary it felt amazingly right. To some, our story may seem traditionally backwards and it is true that in many ways we threw caution to the wind. However, looking back we are grateful we took the many chances and if we had to do it all over again, we wouldn’t do it any other way.
