Halo & Hidden Halo Engagement Rings
A halo sets diamonds or stones around the centre stone, and most importantly it makes the centre diamond look much bigger, with more sparkle. A hidden halo shows only from the side and stays out of sight from the top, adding a quieter hint of sparkle. Treat these halo and hidden halo engagement rings as starting points for a lab-grown or natural centre stone, at our Toronto studio or virtually.

FAQ
What is the difference between a halo and a hidden halo?
A halo sets diamonds around the centre stone where you can see them from the top. A hidden halo, also called a concealed halo, shows only from the side, so it adds sparkle without changing the top view.
Does a halo make the centre diamond look bigger?
Yes. Most importantly, a halo makes the centre diamond look much bigger and adds sparkle. The halo's shape also changes how the centre reads: a square cushion halo makes the middle stone look square, whatever its own shape.
What are the main halo styles?
A seamless halo hugs the centre stone closely and must be handmade to the exact stone. A layered halo, the most common, raises the centre so it stands out. A spaced halo leaves intentional empty space between the centre and the halo.
How long does it take to make a custom halo engagement ring?
Anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks generally. The exact timeline will largely depend on you. Generally it takes longer the more involved you want to be in the design approval process. Let us know what timeline you need your ring within and we’ll make sure it happens.
