Round Engagement Rings
A round brilliant diamond is built for precision: every facet is aligned to reflect light back evenly, which gives it a sharp, bright sparkle. It is still the most popular shape overall, and it fits almost any setting without much adjustment. Treat these round engagement rings as starting points for a lab-grown or natural round. In our downtown Toronto showroom, we show you diamonds under three different lighting conditions.

FAQ
Why do round diamonds sparkle the most?
A round diamond is cut to reflect light as efficiently as possible, which creates the sharp, bright flash you notice first. Ovals sparkle too, but their light is softer and more spread out, so round still leads when sparkle is the priority.
Does carat weight tell you how big a round diamond looks?
No. Carat only tells you how much a diamond weighs, and every weight class has small, medium and large stones. A large 0.9 carat diamond can look bigger than a small 1 carat, so compare the diameter, not just the weight.
Do round diamonds hide inclusions better than ovals?
Yes. Round diamonds tend to hide imperfections better because of how their faceting is arranged. Ovals can show inclusions more easily because of their larger surface area.
How long does it take to make a custom round engagement ring?
Anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks generally. The exact timeline will largely depend on you. Generally it takes longer the more involved you want to be in the design approval process. Let us know what timeline you need your ring within and we’ll make sure it happens.
